PlanMyPaycheck.com is an app that allows users to keep track of bills and due dates, and suggests how much money to set aside from any given paycheck to ensure the next set of bills can be covered. The app is built exclusively with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Problem

Most people get paid biweekly (every 2 weeks). However, bills are often due on set dates. Because of this, one paycheck may be completely drained by bills while the next paycheck is almost completely untouched. In addition, this cycle does not continue exactly the same way as the due dates shift in comparison to pay day over time. If proper care is not taken, someone may not have enough money to cover all the bills within a certain pay period unless they set aside some money from the previous check. This happens even if the person makes plenty of money within the month to cover everything.

Solution

PlanMyPaycheck.com helps users decide how much money goes toward bills in a given pay period. In addition, it suggests how much money to set aside for the next cycle in case the next paycheck will not cover everything.

Impact

I use this tool personally, and it has greatly simplified the process for deciding how much money to set aside from each paycheck without doing any math whatsoever.
